Hello P9'ers. I have a 2007 Cayman @ ( 987.1 ) that I mostly use for the track. I have aftermarket 'stuff' installed including a soul exhuast, 2-qt lN Eng deep oil sump kit and IPD intake w/ larger throttle body. After I ran it early this month at VIR, I had a few codes popping up -- but let's stick to the ones in the subject for this thread -- and a puff of white smoke on start up. For the smoke, I am thinking it is the AOS which is why I am going to order and install the Motorsports version and see if that helps. I pulling apart the intake just to check it as it is today. NOW for the new codes. I have a "Battery/Generator warning" on the dashboard. It popped up while I was on the track. Running codes it looks like I am getting: P1696: Electrical fault in generator P1697: Mechanical fault in generator And a bunch of other faults that I think are related. I assume that this means the alternator is bad? Curious as to how I can diagnose this? Thanks! ~MJP
