This is not a probability of success.

I have swapped the HID lights between the two sides and even replaced the whole headlight with a spare left from a previous accident, and the symptoms are the same.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

This message appeared in my dashboard instrument cluster. I don't have immediate access to my owner's manual. The left headlight doesn't appear to be working. Does the warning message mean that the bulb is burnt out? Or could it indicate that there is some other problem?

POST 2Original post

Could be burned-out bulb. All the message means is that is isn't working (which you have verified). Could be wiring or some component is bad. Do you have Halogen, HID, or some aftermarket HID/LED conversion kit?

POST 3Original post

Check left dipped beam means left low beam is not functioning- bad bulb or a poor connection. I guess “ dipped “ means low beam in German LOL. Porsche Dashboard Warning Lights: A comprehensive visual guide

POST 4Original post

Mine has always been a burned out bulb. No other complicated probs. Change to bulb and see.

POST 5Original post

CANBUS Problem??? I've got a bigger problem with same "check dipped beam" error: It's not the lights or HID system or contents of the headlight. I have swapped the HID lights between the two sides and even replaced the whole headlight with a spare left from a previous accident, and the symptoms are the same. The contacts to the plug are clean. The problem must be upstream of there. Any ideas?
