Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In theory, the Porsche parts warranty also covers genuine parts (and labour) fitted by an independent.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had my car serviced at a OPC 5 months ago and it needed a lot work on the air conditioning. I have just switched on the air conditioning and its not blowing cold. Does anyone know how long parts or work is guaranteed for, from an OPC?

POST 2Original post

POST 3Original post

That's correct. In theory, the Porsche parts warranty also covers genuine parts (and labour) fitted by an independent.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the quick reply I will contact the opc tomorrow to complain about the fault. I didn't take out a warranty this year but I was pretty annoyed to find out that it's not blowing cold after such a short time. You would expect the work to last long then it has done. Obviously after they repaired the air conditioning they re-gased it, how long roughly should a regas last?

POST 5Original post

In a healthy (non-leaking) system the charge should last for several years.

POST 7Original post

Thirded (*?) My 2000 Cab has never been recharged and blows nice and cold every time. Ok its only done 24k miles but as its a pressursed system I guess it will be just as prone to leaks when its stood. I suspect that you will have a faulty seal somewhere or maybe even damage. You will need a pressure test to find out the leak and even then you may not find the final cure.
