The Porsche ones aren't made out of great material, so I tend to change these when working on the car.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Three different brake brackets, left to right....... Left one is the original 996 bracket, middle is the GT3 equivalent, right is a stainless one. The Porsche ones aren't made out of great material, so I tend to change these when working on the car. I didn't mind at a fiver each, however Porsche have now discontinued the standard one and only sell the GT3 version at over £40 each. Hence the stainless one on the right Edited to reflect that these are rears, not fronts...... MC

POST 3Original post

And where are the stainless ones from?? I'm looking to do a calliper overhaul this winter with SS braided lines and I know that the brackets will be crud. So i was faced with buying new or trying to refurb the existing ones. Mark

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I commissioned them myself, I've got a back full of left brackets, and a bag full of rights. They will be available for a lot less than a pair of new ones from Porsche. MC

POST 5Original post

Great work! Will these fit the turbo callipers on a C4S? If so can you put me down for a left and right pair? TIA Mark

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry, the brackets are different on the 4wd cars. MC

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll just double check how many 996 I have, but probably alright to spare a set. MC

POST 11Original post

Martin please can you put my name against a set.

POST 12Original post

Hi Martin, I would also be interested in a set if you have any spare
