Just curious. What do you folks think of this price? It has the fancy sport techno wheels. Seems high based on Edmunds.
If I go this route later, it will be the larger engine. This dealership has pretty high prices.
Seems kinda high to me, offer them $71K and see what they reply back with. ******** is a good source for pricing on the 991.1, they have an entire thread dedicated to finding great prices.

Don't think you'll get a low mileage 2014 CPO C4 for $71K. That car probably stickered for around $110K. I do think that $77 - 78K is doable.
I am glad I ordered my Boxster S. Got exactly what I wanted, colors and all for 65k after discount and added about 5k in mods.
I find any used car to be compromise when spending so much. So this car, three model years old is almost 80k. I built a new base Carrera on the configurator with exactly what I want for 101k. That will have to wait I suppose. Thanks for your input.
I agree that buying a used car is almost always a compromise, but the biggest concern for me is the uncertain history. Of course some people are very fortunate in finding a used car that was owned by a friend but I don't think that happens very often. So I've always bought new. If you know what you want, you custom order a car and keep it for 6 - 7 years. Even a Porsche 911 isn't that expensive if the costs are spread over 7 years, and it's especially true if you sell the car yourself rather than wholesaling your car to a dealer.
Makes sense if you are changing cars frequently not to take that massive hit in depreciation. My 2013 Boxster is my first Porsche and I didn't want to buy used. Plus, I wanted a basic car and not a lot of options. It had to be red and black car with red seat belts and a manual transmission. I added other stuff later like the SE and powder coating the 19 inch wheels and GTS tailights. When you are very fussy with these types of things, buying new is the only option.
If I had to option a new base Carrera, it would be again be a manual, 18-way seats, glass sunroof, SE, colored seat belts, tinted tailights and the Bose. Maybe also the GT steering wheel and folding mirrors. 9 out of 10 911s are PDKs.
Yes, MT cars are tough to come by. They tend to sell fast in the used market too. I had to order my previous SLK with a MT because the dealership doesn't stock them. I took the opportunity to do the European Delivery. It's sad that it came with MT at no charge but 99.9% of the population pay $2,500 extra for the auto gear box. It was also a crappy AT on the SLK. Sometimes you don't have the option to buy used for the times you can, CPO is a great deal.
Seems a tad high, but I'm not too familiar w/C4 pricing. I picked up a very well optioned '13 C2S w/similar miles for a bit less. But if they are asking $79k, I imagine they should agree to $76k or thereabouts w/o too much hassle.
So I traded in my beloved 2013 Boxster S recently for a 2014 Carrera 4 and what do you know? The new car is the subject of a thread on P9! Imagine my surprise when I found this discussion after going to the 911 section, a place I have never frequented.
My wife and I took long trips in our Boxster S including going 10,800 miles around the US in the fall of 2014. So the convertible, while nice for shorter trips, was too hot in the desert and too cold in freezing weather with more limited visibility than I liked with the top up. It just seemed we were better off with a coupe and the 911's rear seats allow us to store some items like our cameras inside the cabin which is more convenient. Oh, and while we were at it, my legs are not as spry as they once were, so for the first time since the 1970s, I got a PDK instead of a manual. (Sigh) So far we love the new car and expect to take two trips down to South Carolina and one to Texas in it next year. I have a set of snow tires and rims on order from Tire Rack for it to get through the New England winter.
Just for the record, the price was near the upper end of the numbers being discussed. Be seeing you all in the 911 content on site.
