Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I've managed to find and fit a set of bonnet struts on the front... can't seem to find a set for the rear engine lid (pair) Anyone have a pair or a link ? 2001 model cheers

POST 2Original post

The existing struts should have part numbers on them?

POST 3Original post

should be 99651255103 if you have the standard spoiler

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers guys, I've ordered a pair of these, £48+vat (each) from OPC sheffield Original part numbers were faded 👍

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thankfully I waited 🖖 👍

POST 8Original post

Are yours failing to hold the lid up? I've always felt mine don't provide much initial assistance but they hold the lid up so haven't bothered changing. Unlike the front, which cracked me on the head more than once

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah pretty much, I've changed the front ones they now drive up so don't need much assistance. The engine lid ones do hold up but definitely ready for replacement, £30/40 a pair nice little job 👍
