Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just switched my fogs to LED and installed the O-Ring.

Suggestion · Original poster
Since the 996 has no option for Daytime Running Lights, do my friends herein use the fog lights, head lights or no lights during daytime driving?

Suggestion
Ja I use the 2 O ring, its brilliant however I would like the rear lights to always come on as well with the ignition switch, any ideas.

Not certain if this answers your question, but I used the BAX9S LED bulbs in the picture below for parking lights.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

There was a cool little trick posted on Rennlist a few years ago that I use.
Take a 2" diameter or so O-Ring and put it on your headlight switch. You pull it out and put the o-ring on.
Th O ring prevents the headlight switch from retracting when off.
This makes the fog lights stay on when the ignition is on.
I did that a few years ago, and switched the fog lights to yellow LED bulbs.
So the car
always
has yellow fogs on.
Works perfectly.

I know, I know I could just turn the side lights on but why not complicate life.
Not certain if this answers your question, but I used the BAX9S LED bulbs in the picture below for parking lights. You can find them on Amazon. They are very bright and white which works well with the Philips D2s X-Treme Vison Gen 2 bulbs i added to my headlights.
Ignore the Philips halogen bulbs in the picture below. Just part of a screen shot I took a while back for someone.
