Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Re the above, should it be treated as a service item/ preemptive change item? Reason I ask watched video of Lamborghini owner stuck in Spain loads of aggro and the part was £30, could save a lot of grief :dont know:

POST 2Original post

They aren't that cheap but I do have a spare (an old working one) for taking away with me due to previously getting stuck with an issue and having to leave the car in Switzerland a few years ago, lesson learnt.

POST 4Original post

Manual box is easy if the allen bolt comes undone easily, but you'll need to get the car up high enough to get under it. I think the Tip boxed cars are a bit more complex swap?

POST 5Original post

This is a bitch of a job on the tiptronic....I know, I did it! Ensure you have lots and lots and lots of patience, penetrating fluid and lots of patience
