I'm sure that you adjust the front camber on the 996 by loosening the top end on the mounts off and adjusting accordingly.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There is movement at the top of my front springs when the car is off the ground. Now, looking on the Design 911 site, there are some round bearing type things, called groove ball bearing and then some rubber shock absorber suspension plate. What do I need? Do I need these AND top mounts, or could it be the rubber bits? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I'm no expert but I'd say you've got something that needs tightening there... I'm sure that you adjust the front camber on the 996 by loosening the top end on the mounts off and adjusting accordingly. Just had my 4 wheel alignment done and that's how we sorted my front camber out. Do you have any uneven wear on front tyres? If these are loose as you say then I'm sure you'd notice it through the handling.....?

POST 3Original post

I replaced my top mounts and bearings and the movement you describe disappeared.
