Leading evidence: 'heater changeover valve' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'heater changeover valve' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Set i have super cold air' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Finally, I reach up a wiped the inside and saw that it was the inside of the windshield.

When you use the Auto setting, the system is going to go in to full cold mode until it drags the temp down to your temp setting.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am experiencing something new and before I head to the dealer (again) I wanted to bring it up here.
I recently had the windshield replaced in my 2013
Carrera
S and since picking it up, 3 times there has been condensation forming on the outside?!?
I'm in Florida and last night it was high 80's and I noticed it forming as I was driving home at around 8:30PM (with the A/C on). I put my hand over the defrost vents and they were pushing out cold air. I don't think this is normal, is it?
Here are a couple photos from my driveway of the phenomenon (bottom 1/3 of the windshield). Anyone else experience this?

Happens a lot here in Florida! Anyway, it happens to me when I turn the A/C down to Low to fight the very high humidity and high heat we have here in Tampabay area. Normaly, I have to go back to a warmer A/C setting and turn the defroster vents off leaving just the dash and footwell vents on. The fog happened with both the original factory windshield and the replacement factory windshield. The other morning it was 100% humidity and 86 degrees and the windshield got totally fogged up with the A/C set to 72-had to turn the defroster on-cars around me were having the same problem.
That all said my Infinity G37 vert does the same fogging
Thanks Autocutter! I haven't experienced it before, but I have only had it a few months and only 3,000 miles...
I also had a G37, great car [emoji1303]

Big problem on these things in high humidity environments. Happens with the HVAC set to Auto and no other settings tweaks. The fix is to send some of the air to the footwell using the toggle on your center stack. The car will still maintain your Auto temp settings, but will no longer send cold air out the defroster vents. Problem solved.
OP said condensation is on the outside, not inside. I don't see how AC would help that. Maybe the defroster would heat up the window enough to clear it after some time but the windshield wipers would seem to be the best and most immediate fix.
Naaaa, only looks like it is on the outside. First time I saw it happened I tried the wipers, but no go. Finally, I reach up a wiped the inside and saw that it was the inside of the windshield. Again, this is a heat & humidity issue common here in Florida were levels are great that 70% Humidity and +80 degrees. moreover, it's just a kidney size of fog patches just above the vents with the
Porsche
and G37. Of course, this never happened in older cars like my 2005 Corvette, but it didn't route the A/C through the defroster vents. The wife's mommy chariot doesn't have the same small fog problem as almost her entire windshield try's to fog up.
So my windshield did it again today and then I realized that I have only ice-cold A/C coming out. No matter the temp setting, I have super cold air. Looks like I'll be visiting the dealer again...

Let me ask you guys in Florida a question.
If you go out to your car and put the temp at 80 and set to auto, is the air that comes out ice cold?
I realized today that the temp of the air is always constant (insanely cold) and that seems strange to me. I can't remember a previous car acting that way.

When you use the Auto setting, the system is going to go in to full cold mode until it drags the temp down to your temp setting. I find the Auto climate control a pain in the butt with all the cars I've own; really noisy fan! I often wondered if most of those systems have a Humity sensor which would cause the system to go in to full cold to purge the interior of the Humity level regardless of the inside temp. Our house A/C does have this sensor and runs full bore despite the house temp unill it hits 55% humity.
I think what's thrown me is that in Auto the air in the
Porsche
comes out like a home system - one constant temperature. Other cars I've had blend cold & hot air to vary the temp of the air coming out.
I'm sure I can get used to it.
This was the other day. You can see it's on the outside and the wipers do remove it but it comes right back.
I think in my case the temp sensor inside the cabin is bad and is telling the A/C that it's really hot in my car when it's not. The air never lets up on auto and never comes out warm when setting manually.

So it happened this morning while I was about 5 minutes from the dealer and I was able to show them the problem - talk about a lucky break! Turns out I'm not getting any heat, just cold. They think it's a vacuum line or valve that controls the mix, appointment scheduled.
Well, after nearly 2 months I finally got this issue resolved. It was the heater changeover valve. Now all is good again.
It wasn't until the weather cooled down here that we realized there was no heat in the car.

Makes sense... That's what deals with humidity and yours was broke.
The 'glass sealant' stuff works well to repel moisture (inside and out). I have applied Griot's and its actually been lasting 6+ months now. Since less stuff fogs up the glass, visibility is much more clear.
