Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone know what the market value for a 97 993 is? Has 88,000 miles and is in very good condition. Would appreciate any response. Thanks.

POST 3Original post

Yes, it has the original red paint. Thanks for the response.

POST 4Original post

I suggest you check the on line buyer's guide provided by Excellence Magazine for a start. They offer an overview of the model and also some areas of concern that should be checked out during a PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) which is really mandatory unless you have unlimited cash to fix problems as they pop up after the sale. The 993 remains a very popular car and while prices overall have declined due to the age of these cars, very fine examples will still command a premium price, significantly more than $25K. For example the 97-98 C2S was rear wheel drive but w/ the wide Turbo/4S bodywork. Do a little homework, possibly some legwork, and you can find yourself a nice example of the last aircooled 911. Remember caveat emptor , these cars are now 13 years old and many have changed hands more than once. Good luck!

POST 5Original post

Appreciate the response. I'm actually planning to sell, not buy. Just wanted an idea of what I can expect to get for it.
