I stopped by the Porsche parts stand at the NEC today and they don't offer the 996 ones any more and recommend the 997 ones.

Couple of questions, if I replace these myself will I need to have the geo re-done?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just had Porsche guildford MOT my 996 and the advisory was top mount bushes slightly worn.
Couple of questions, if I replace these myself will I need to have the geo re-done?
Found these on autodoc and they seem very cheap, appreciate they might not last as long as OE ones but presume they will do the job?

I have no rattling or adverse handling characteristics so certainly dont think its an urgent job
You have a C4S, unfortunately top mounts for RWD cars (C2, Boxster, targa) like the ones you have linked are always pretty cheap and do not fit our cars. AWD cars like ours need a different and unfortunately much more expensive top mount which have the added disadvantage that they don't last anywhere near as long as RWD style mounts due to simply how they are designed. All is not lost however as 997 C4 mounts fit our cars and last alot longer than the 996 spec mounts. Best value place I found them was spyder performance

Many members can vouch for spyder performance stuff being dent quality and beats Porsche OEM price though again they are still cheaper than the 996 C4 mounts which are twice the price.
Interesting you say they are not the right mounts as I selected my model in the website. I had read up about the 997 mounts and if the ones I selected above aren't right I will go for the spyder ones you link too
Just for info, I've got to replace mine and my indy said go for the Porsche ones, they are more but much better quality, apparently.
I stopped by the Porsche parts stand at the NEC today and they don't offer the 996 ones any more and recommend the 997 ones. They are £99.94 each and part number is 997 343 018 01, same as the Sachs and Lemforder on Autodoc.
I haven't made my mind up yet?
