Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
a little bit off topic, but why are you thinking of changing your headlamps to aftermarket options?
Leading evidence: 'Replace headlamps' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace headlamps' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Big apologies for post that is probably common knowledge for you guys...
2000 996, CAB. Has the washer nozzle for headlights in front of the light, not to the side. When I surf looking at mods and such, I see washer delete covers for side position...but not mine.
Also looking at aftermarket options for new headlights...yes, I know a polarizing topic.
What is this set-up known as, the headlight washer like mine?
Thank you from a dyed in the wool car guy...but totally new to Porsche living.
Cheers!
Good question.
I'm not crazy about the mix of forward lighting. Fog/aux lights are yellowish, headlights are white ish. Looks to me like aftermarket auxiliary lights... the difference in coloring.
I also like some of the LED assembly appearance. More modern. flame suit on.
Personal preference i guess.
I have other toys (numerous vehicles, motorcycles, guns etc etc) and I'm familiar with the "keep it original" vs "let's mod everything" thinking... I'm somewhere in the middle. I enjoy tasteful(In my opinion) mods...
Okay, I understand.
Aftermarket LED headlamp assemblies dont have a provision for the headlight washer (which is what you circled in your initial post), so be sure to disable them so that they dont break themselves during washer activation.
Regarding the yellowy fog/aux lights: theyre probably budget halogen bulbs. You can buy whiter H7 halogen bulbs to match your HIDs.
If you decide to install the aftermarket headlamps, do consider that these typically only take halogen bulbs. So youll still have to pay a bit extra to get the bright white look from the enthusiast bulbs.
Another consideration is LED bulbs in the halogen housing. 5 years ago, I wouldnt have dared suggest this, but it seems now that there are plenty of reputable manufacturers making LED bulbs that are compatible with halogen housings, and simultaneously keep the glare down. An example that comes to mind is Philips.
If youre going to be removing your Xenon headlamps, consider safekeeping them if you ever plan to sell your car. Some owners are sticklers for OEM parts, so youll retain your resale value by including them.
@996love
thank you! Great info.
I will look into replacement bulbs for fog aux lighting.
And TOTALLY get saving old oem parts for the next guy.
Appreciate it
