Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Your nearest Porsche Centre or try EBay for a pirated copy that may or may not work. Regards, Clive.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Clive. Just been quoted £364 from local Porsche Centre. Could buy 3 Garmins for that amount...

POST 4Original post

I have exactly the same car as you, I got a disc from www.satnavi.com for £35.00. Works perfectly and is bang up to date and covers western Europe aswell!

POST 5Original post

Hi Rob I have a spare (official Porsche) disk - off my C4S but I now have a later version. It is PCM Navigation Europe CD3 compatible with PCM Version 3.0 - 08.2003 996.642.030.01 7L5.919.884.G. Email me if you are interested - it should fit yours but it comes with no guarantees ! Chris

POST 6Original post

[8D] I've heard that you have to be careful (lucky ) when using a "pirated" copy as they have been known to cause the laser to burn out. I have gone down the Garmin route as it also provides full post codes and safety camera (speed trap) sites and other features, the Porsche system was c*** when new and is now even worse, sadly Porsche electronic technology has always lagged behind their engines etc.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
