This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i thought it was the power steering at first but once i followed line it goes under manifold. im leaning towards it being a Intake Manifold Venturi Tube. but not sure

POST 4Original post

AOS Tube? Dipstick tube? Coolant line to oil cooler?

POST 5Original post

if there was no fluid in it, then its the brake vacuum line. To me that looks like the powersteering line, but its a bit tough to tell from that angle, so like I said, no fluid in there, vac line.

that line going to the purge valve and end going to intake.

That is the Fuel Vapor Regeneration Valve tube. Replaced mine in 2014 on my '03 Base Boxster. I found it on Amazon for the best price. https://www.amazon.com/Porsche-97-04-Vapor-Regeneration-Throttle/dp/B00FAJFWEKref=sr_1_1?keywords=Porsche+986+%2897-04%29+Fuel+Vapor+Regeneration+Valve+from+Throttle+ Body&qid=1559315028&s=automotive&sr=1-1
