I used to have the lobsterclaws as well, and was running 235/35AR and 265/35AR, which are OEM sizes.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I'm trying to civilize my car a bit. Looking to soften the ride with a taller aspect ratio. I'm running 245 30 19 in front and 265 25 19 in the rear. Hoping for input

POST 2Original post

18x9.0" F and 18x10.0" R is the best balance of ride and aesthetics. Unless you find some crazy 3pc or unicorn 17" wheels, they look too small on the car. You can fit 40AR on the 18" wheels which softens up the bumps a good amount. Depending on your budget you can go from $2000 at Apex, up to $10,000 at BBS, or do a custom build with Corsa, Augument, etc. for $10k+. Your tire options will be best at the 18" diameter as well. I find it very odd that your ARs are mismatched like that on the 19". I used to have the lobsterclaws as well, and was running 235/35AR and 265/35AR, which are OEM sizes. If you don't want to change your wheels, I'd just go 35AR all around on the stock wheels and call it a day.

OK - Pheeettttttt.... (moderator's whistle) TIME OUT! You can't just come here and dump that photo making us lustful for the performance figures without introducing yourself and your beast! I'm loving what I'm seeing - including the acoustic barrier you've created to try to preserve some of your hearing, and perhaps keep heat and AC in the cabin.. but... do you have a continuous rear-view camera to the rear-view mirror, or do you just go fast enough that you never worry about what's behind you? We have this tradition here - where new members introduce themselves and their car. In your case - especially your car. You can find that section by following this link: https://www.planet-9.com/forums/new_members/ Go there. Post photos. LOTS of photos. Tell us what'cha did and what inspired it (I have to assume a bricked H6 engine..) and you can tell a little bit about yourself (I'm interested where you acquired the skills to do this job..) OK - continue play.....

POST 5Original post

lol sorry i don't post much, the car has been running since 2021 built it in my garage during the pandemic in Wa state. Moved back to California left the car to be painted and it took 2.5 years for my buddy to do the job WTF.... 550 hp GM crate engine LS3 with a 6 speed, Numeric shifter and cables. H&R SHOCKS AND SPRINGS, Davies Craig elect water pump and controller, MR2 elect power steering pump, Factory clutch (Non Sprong disk) and Kenedy flywheel etc. The car is quiet as long as you keep the rpm below 2k after that 7 fool's and a mad man can't keep the cab quiet but I'm still trying. I have crap tires on the car and need to address that soon. I tell myself sell the Cayman and the Cts v and get a used C8 and call it good. I'll be 70 in May but still love building cars. Below is the building of the subframe.

POST 6Original post

Sounds very cool and very stealth.. it would still be nice if you introduced yourself over in the new members forum (link given above). There are several other crate engine conversions here.. I think you'd be welcomed into their discussions.
