Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

The Cayman American. It looks to me that porsche are making the Cayman what THEY want it to be rather than what the majority of us want. Most of us will never have a Boxster & 911 so have no concerns of positioning the Cayman exactly between two existing models. WE want the Cayman with the same engine choice as the 911 -----right?

POST 2Original post

Nope. I bet that Porsche Engineers would really love placing a much more powerful engine into the Cayman. Problem is the loyalists of the 911. If they make the Cayman any better in any way, the 911 drivers may buy the cheaper Cayman S, causing huge cannibalizion of 911 sales, or leave the brand. Porsche would also be held responsible for self-destructing the iconic 911. Even at current specs of the Cayman, people worry that it is too competitive to the 911. And if the 911 dies or if sales lags, you can kiss Porsche goodbye. So basically, the Cayman is the result of how people want it to be (namely 911 owners and enthusiasts) and not Porsche.
