Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've had my beloved 996 tt x50 for a month now and i'm still loving it It went into Porsche today to have a power steering fluid leak fixed, a gearbox sump leak fixed and the aircon fixed, all under warranty, amazing service, car was cleaned properly and the service girl had fantastic breasts 8) The thing is, I gave it a little blast on the way home and it doesn't seem as quick, as if the've "turned the power down" or something :? :? Its still very quick but just doesnt scream like before, its quite cool too this evening. It could be me just going mad, but I swear its slower. Any ideas ? :frustrated:

POST 2Original post

We could race and see if you can keep up.... ...but on a private road not public highway...cos thats naughty :hand: :hand: Is the boost still showing 0.7 ? Dan

POST 3Original post

The cooler the air the better your turbo will work = more BHP

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know. when I went to the 'ring in early Sept it was warm and my car was quick as fook. Its quite a cold evening here in brum so would normally be rapid. :? Ooh, er didnt know I had a boost counter, didnt remeber seeing one

POST 5Original post

I think you can pull the boost meter level via your onboard functions...check your owners manual

POST 6Original post

Its in the lower part of the on-board computer display below tacho :thumb: shows 0.0 on tickover

POST 7Original post

maybe your car was chipped and the dealer re programmed it? which, as we know, they have a tendancy to do........

POST 8Original post

It might be worth resetting the DME. Switch the ignition on for 60 seconds, but don't start the engine or touch the throttle pedal. Then switch the ignition off for at least 10 seconds. Then you can start the engine. The process will restore DME settings to factory default.

POST 9Original post

Hi Richard, You programmed my cruise control for me about a year ago, Seal Grey 996 turbo, good to see you've finally "upgraded" ! Hope all is well

POST 10Original post

Hi Danny Remember it well. Seal Grey was first choice, but this one came up at a price I couldn't refuse, so I went for it. Very different to the C2 (and there are still things I miss about it) but glad I took the plunge.

POST 14Original post

Max boost should be 0.7bar as standard ....... well mine is..... that is plenty
