Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I lost my Log book, the original one, I got a new one from ebay, blank, and have slowly had it stamped up at the OPC's where it was serviced previuosly, however it does not have the big sticker on the first page with information codes etc. Before I go ask the OPC, and find out there is a huge charge for new sticker, or they say impossible etc etc, Does anyone know of a simple way of getting one? Im keen to find out what the official Blue name for my paintwork is for one thing, I know the interior is called Savannah. Kind Regards Edward

POST 2Original post

I'm sorry I can't answer your question but I would like to know if the sticker under the bonnet (same as in book) can be replaced if you have the bonnet re-spayed.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My question is basically the same as yours, can i replace the sticker in my logbook. I will look under the bonnet now for my paint code perhaps.

POST 4Original post

The sticker is identical to the one under the bonnet, so assuming it's still legible, why don't you take a copy of the details and then just type match it on your PC and print it out on some sticky back paper? Would take a bit of trial and error, but easy enough to do.

POST 5Original post

PS Savannah code is SD So your label code will be something like: VIN 996 MODEL <not sure what this code is> EXT COLOUR INT COLOUR TLA OPTIONS LIST Cheers.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great cheers mate, thats most useful!! Edward

POST 7Original post

Don't think they are actually identical. The information is the same but on my 993 at least the labels are different.

POST 8Original post

Just retype it out and stick it back in, that's what was done on my previous 996, as long as it matches...

POST 9Original post

My OPC tell me they are impossible to replace basically 2 are produced when the car goes onto the production lineone went under the bonnet the other goes into the service book and they will not reprint them on a 2005 model year onwards, they only produced one which goes into the service book i.e. if you have a one of the last 996's they dont have the label under the bonnet

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Mark Think I will just print one myself, its just for my information anyway! Kind Regards Edward

POST 11Original post

Not always Mark, My Cardiff OPC originating GT3 has both under the bonnet! How stupid is that :frustrated:
