Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Reported cause
I had a repetative squeak when accelerating that turned out to be a loose spark plug, the washer was a tad loose.
Leading evidence: 'loose spark plug, the washer was a tad loose' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'loose spark plug, the washer was a tad loose' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). It could also be the rear control arm bushes, I had mine checked whilst the suspension was off and all ok.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Recently I have noticed a "squeek" coming from the back end when I pull away from junctions in first gear? It doesn't do it all the time but I thought I would ask the question just incase smile
Its a '54 plate C4S. It has just had new discs and pads all round if that means anything?
Cheers smilesmile
Welcome to the rear end squeek club :thumb:
I've had this on and off for a couple of months now, basically since it got hot-ish. I've had JZM and OPC look into it and both couldn't isolate or fix. It could be the ARB bushes but then I had mine replaced and it still does it. You could check underneath and just make sure they're not worn or split though. It could also be the rear control arm bushes, I had mine checked whilst the suspension was off and all ok. I thought it could be the rubber motor mounts but again they're new and in tip top condition.
Basically what I'm saying is :?:
It does only happen when you pull off and when the car is 'hot' so I'm not worried about it... Interestingly on a trackday it didn't do it once 8)
Thanks Stuart, I noticed it was only when it got hot also
The car has just had a major service at Porsche and has had a lot of warranty work carried out so if it was anything untoward I'm sure it would have been picked up then. It just gets a bit annoying when it happens in the middle of a pose round the beach :floor:
Yup, haha, it only ever happens when there's no other cars around and people are watching...
I've found though that if you really carefully ease off so the front end doesn't lift at all then it doesn't make the squeek. I was wondering if there's a silicon lube that you can spray on the ARB bushes as I'm sure that's the source.
I've got some silicone lube here at work so I may give that a try if I have some spare time over the coming weeks
Saying that though, with the weather like it is I think Autumn has already started and we have seen the last of the hot days  :floor:
Is it just one squeak or several as opposed to a squeal?
I had a repetative squeak when accelerating that turned out to be a loose spark plug, the washer was a tad loose. My indy said they had come across the problem before.

Mine was doing it too this weekend, only every so often but hadn't heard it for ages. I can't be @rsed dealing with it though, it's so minor compared to the enjoyment
