SoCal, the lip came predrilled (pre-punched.) It was the last two holes on each end that needed to be elongated in order to match with my Aero II cover.

The one you installed looks like it is for the 996.1 - not the later 996.2.

Porsche installed the whole kit for me with all Porsche parts.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I lost my original Aero II front lip years and years ago. Never considered replacing it as I knew I'd lose the new one too but I now live in a place where, after a year, I feel comfortable replacing it. In the meantime, of course, Porsche raised the price from about $150 to 600/700? Then I saw that Suncoast had what appeared to be a decent knockoff. Still about $400 but thought I'd give it a go. It comes primed. I used Spectral's paint to match it to the car. Plastic prep, color and clearcoat. Color wise, I think the match is perfect. On the car, I guess the lip is ok. It is not an exact duplicate of the original. Most obvious, it doesn't continue to the rear of the front cover like the original. You can see that it ends about 1/3 of the way back. The original continued right up to the front of the wheel well. So there are still two holes on each side past where the lip ends. The holes on each end of the lip also were off about 1/4" or so and needed to be elongated. And I believe the original lip profile was slightly deeper but the lower profile might help it last longer. Overall, I guess it'll do, but with a $400 knockoff you'd think it'd be an exact match. Can't decide if I recommend or not though, but if I had to do it over (and I likely will) I'll get the Porsche one.
Here is a stock photo of a GT3 with the proper lip. You can see it extends back to the front of the wheel well. And the profile appears to be a full 1/2" deeper.
Bummer. Really wish it continued for the entire length of the bumper. I’m not sure what the logic is behind the stupid prices. I paid 190.00 for mine in 2022 and the current going price seems to be 700 plus. For a consumable piece of plastic it’s a bit much.
The one you installed looks like it is for the 996.1 - not the later 996.2. I don't think the 996.2 Aerokit included the lower lip (could be mistaken there - but when I got my 2003 factory Aerokit car - it had no lip) - but as mentioned in the last post - the 996.2 GT3 did.
Demonspeed sells a replacement for the 996.2 GT3 - in various flavors (race, street, etc)

Guys, It might, indeed, be closer to a Gen 1 lip but Suncoast specifies it as the 996.2 aero lip. I'm not familiar with the Aero I, so can't comment on if this closer to a Aero I than Aero II lip. But that is why I wrote the review to get this info out there.
The Aero II kit absolutely came with a lip. You can also see it in the old TecEquipment booklets. Porsche installed the whole kit for me with all Porsche parts. And the front cover came with all of the mounting holes for the lip.
Here's the suncoast listing, you can see the photo leaves a lot to be desired.

Tom, I like the way Demonspeed offers a quick pick of up to Three spoiler! Very convenient. As Pi points out, they really are almost a consumable item.
I haven't done business with Suncoast since they stopped using real Porsche part numbers. It wouldn't be so bad if as you mentioned, their pictures didn't suck most of the time.
Whatever they're selling definitely looks more like a gen 1. The Gen 1 Aerokit bumper is predrilled and you can see that it doesn't go all the way to the wheel arches. I would love to know if your Suncoast lip was predrilled and if so, do the holes match the Gen 1 Aerokit bumper holes?
I just got a 996.2 aerokit front bumper cover from Suncoast. It came with a lip. It looks like the one being discussed here -- it is pretty thin and does not extend all the way to the wheel well.

SoCal, the lip came predrilled (pre-punched.) It was the last two holes on each end that needed to be elongated in order to match with my Aero II cover. Before I answer your question I'll point out that SunCoast offers, what they say is an Aero I lip. I presume that is different from what they call the Aero II lip. In fact, it is almost $200 more!!
Now, to answer your question, what they refer to as the Aero II lip seems a tad longer than the holes on your front cover. In other words, I don't think what they sold me will match your front cover holes very well but the shape is similar. With their "Aero I" lip at $560, I'd find a real Aero I lip. Here is the Aero I lip link for suncoast (note the photo, I think they use the same photo for both the I and II lips.)
