Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Its time for my major service (oh maatron!). Also need to get the brake fluid done, as its been around 2.5 years since the last owner had this work carried out. I have go the OPC route as the stamps are a must. It would also appear that the car MAY require a spark plug change. The car has only covered 28K miles since new, but is 5 years old. Is this something i could leave till say next year, because £162 for six plugs to be changed is a bit much! :wtf: Advice needed? Thanks! H

POST 2Original post

I was advised at my recent service (4.5 years old and 34K miles) that the spark plugs need doing every 4 years so had them done...... Don't know whether not having them changed would affect the warranty if you have one :?:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No doubt they will advise that i have the plugs done also. If there is a chance they could you that as an excuse for any unexpected warranty work, then best to get it done i suppose....
