Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Greetings all, I have 2 questions about wheels, I have a set of 19” Boxster Spyder wheels that are off a Cayman R homage that was modified by a prior owner into a track focussed car. The wheels are unbent but have curb rash from street use. The car is now almost exclusively track use so wheels are just sitting. Would it be better to sell them “as is”, allowing the new owner to refinish as he/she chooses, or get them refinished prior to sale at a cost of approx $350 per wheel ( Glenn’s in Tampa)? Second question, does anyone know of a high quality wheel repair or refinishing shop in the Florida Panhandle? thanks!

POST 2Original post

Tough call. Finished wheels might sell but will you get your money back. Unfinished wheels might get a lower price. I would leave it to the next guy and hope you get a decent price for the curbed wheels.

POST 3Original post

I’d let the new owners paint them, then they can choose the color of their choice.
