Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Advice needed please, I'm having the centres of my seats re-trimmed and will need to remove them for about three weeks. 1 Do you think this will cause any issues with the airbag warning lights? 2 Would you reconnect the battery while they out. Also thinking about having the seat belts re-webbed in a different colour I have had some samples from this firm and they seem to be very helpful https://www.quickfitsbs.com/ any experiences or other ideas. Thanks in advance Kind Regards

POST 2Original post

Do you have the airbags in the seats? I thought I did but I dont and ran with one seat for a while no issues. If they do then you will throw up a light if ignition is switched on. My door airbags were disconnect and did throw up a light but managed to get them out with a hand held diagnostic tool.

POST 3Original post

Not what you asked, but if you would like to be able to continue to drive the car I have a spare hardback seat that you are welcome to borrow.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the replies, I've looked again and cant see any airbags so hopefully I wont have any issues. Dammit, thanks for the offer of a seat, much appreciated.

POST 5Original post

996 doesn't have seat airbags unlike a 997 so there will be no issues .

Is there a preferred upholsterer for Porsche aficionados? Or have you someone local to you in mind?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

de Mort......Thank you Kett, seats are going to http://classicfx.net/ but I keep changing my mind about what I should go for!

POST 8Original post

I can see your dilemma - they have some fantastic options in the gallery pictures. No prices listed - I suppose it's POA
