Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Built for my '04 996.2 manual. Hello everyone, I've found that having some shop experience enables you to come up with stuff for free. So this is my 3 dollar transmission mount removal tool I built with scrap around my shop. Hope it helps some of uguys. MB.

Heres mine Wheel bearing puller (Even though Im a tool nut, I couldnt justify spending $800+ for the real thing seeing as how infrequently Id use it). I just paired it with some standard bearing puller rings and it worked quite well

Well done! I clearly need to purchase a welder next... I never wanted to weld on the car because it would clearly show as an amateur hack job, but I hadn't though of the makeshift tool fabrication angle.

Nice work building your piece, but won't work on a 996.2.

Nor did it have to 99 here. The fact that Ive never used the tool again supports the reason I made it in the first place.
