Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The left headlights on my 97 boxster do not work. I've checked the fuses and replaced the locking clip for the connector on that side but no change. Also the left turn signal is blinking at a rapid rate.

POST 2Original post

The issues are unrelated. A turn indicator flashing rapidly means one of the bulbs in the circuit is burnt out. As far as the headlight, I assume you mean no high or low beams? You'll need to do some investigative work to find the culprit. With a DMM check that you have 12 volts to the headlight connector you just added the locking clip to when the switch is on. If yes, then it could be the headlight isn't plugging itself into the connector - make sure it lines up properly and that none of the pins are bent or missing. Check the connector on the headlight itself for continuity to rule out the bulb(s) or the headlight itself. Also, suspect the headlight switch. It's not the most robust part of the car and fails fairly often. I'd be surprised if it isn't one of these two things.
