Could it be early signs of the window regulator failing already even though it was replaced recently?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 996.1 C2. I had the window regulator replaced a couple years ago. I noticed that when I open the door from the outside there are no issues. However, when I open it from the inside the window seems to catch a bit (I think against the rear pane) such that it's difficult to push the door open but when I stop pushing on the door and release it then push it out again it doesn't catch anymore and I'm able to open the door.. It doesn't seem to exhibit the symptoms of a failing microswitch on the inside handle (when I release the inside handle the window does not come back up if the door is opened). Could it be early signs of the window regulator failing already even though it was replaced recently? Can this just be fixed by doing an adjustment of the window somehow? Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

You need to adjust the glass in the clamps that hold the glass. You may need to move the glass forward and possibly up at the rear. Try moving it about 1/8”. I had the same problem on one of my cars and this is what I had to do. T ok the door panel off, adjusted it and then tried raising and lowering the window to verify the gas ll was raising all the way up and I had the proper gap between the front and rear glass.

POST 3Original post

If you don't see the window drop a bit when you operate the handle, you need to investigate those microswitches.
