Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

It requires a VSS connection for wireless carplay and my older 2005 Boxster does not have that readily available easily, though I see some documentation that it may be available via tapping an ABS connector (found regarding a later cayman) Just checking here before I return and get a wired carplay unit to see if anyone has tackled this successfully?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hey all I just received my Kenwood DMS9706S. I fully reviewed connections and am finding it may not be a workable install on my car.

POST 2Original post

so I'll reply to this in that it looks like there are adapters to get this. I chose to return the wireless carplay Kenwood for a simpler sony.

POST 3Original post

Lot's of people asking this question. I suppose I am quite shocked that no one on this forum seems to know where the 'VSS' wire is to tap into. I have spent the entire day googling for an answer but found zip. It's not the one from the ABS sensors front or rear and its not available off the OBD socket. Someone somewhere must know where to pick this up.
