Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I recently bought this Porsche, it has an aftermarket stereo system. I was told the subwoofer is on the passenger side foot well but I could not hear it. I need to remove the panel but I don't find any screws or anything to pull it out. Do I need to remove the center console and work my way into it. Please help me because I am replacing the door box and speakers. Thank you,

If it is a cabriolet, the subwoofer is in the passenger footwell. If not, it isn't.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there any information on how to open the footwell location?

POST 4Original post

As written before, if it's a cab the subwoofer is in the passenger footwell inside the center console. Grab the edge of the console and pull open to expose the sub. /X3

POST 5Original post

There are two bolts that hold in the subwoofer to the console. I think it takes a 10 or 13mm socket. Then the top will tilt out and it can be pulled up. Console carpet will need to be peeled back a little to expose the rear bolt. Front bolt is hidden in the sub’s carpet but can be found feeling it out.

I wanted to thank you for the help. I've been in the hospital for a few days and I can't log in on my phone. I will look at it tomorrow!

Deserion, thank you for posting the picture of the hidden screw behind the carpet. I have read verbal descriptions but they just were not clear to me. Also, my carpet was extremely stiff and I would not have had the courage to rip things apart without your picture. I just wish I had found your picture two hours ago
