Just use any A40 spec oil if you are going to use it as a flush and put Nano in afterwards, I don't think you need to think too hard about it?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi folks, I have a manual 99 3.4 carrera 4 which has sat in storage for at least 4 years. I'm going to drop the oil and refresh but will change the oil again fairly quickly what oil and viscosity would you recommend? Was thinking 5w40 but not sure what brand to use. Was planning to eventully put Millers Nano in. Any thoughts appreciated!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm going to run it for a couple of months so wasn't wanting to put total rubbish in!?
