Hi all first post. Just picked up 987 Cayman S this week w Chrono Stopwatch in the dash, however the Chrono option doesn’t show up in the dash menu options, so nothing happens when I engage the chrono stopwatch button. Wondering if the ECU was flashed at some point removing that option? Would like to get it working. Thanks

If you are certain the stop watch was an original option with this car, it might be worth a trip to the dealer to have it turned back on. It is possible a previous software update disabled it and with how rarely people use that stop watch, the previous owner may have never noticed. I'm actually in the same boat. The previous owner of my car had a software update done. Now neither the TPMS nor stopwatch work. I've just been lazy and haven't gone to the dealer to have them reprogrammed. But since they were original options on this car, I'm hoping they won't give me too much trouble about it.

I'm glad that your chronometer is again fully functional! Just for the record: Sport chrono isn't something that was ever offered as a retrofit on 987 models; only the sport tuning was, but never the stopwatch aka chronometer. If your car is equipped with a "dash wart", then you can rest assured that sport chrono was selected as an option on the original build. It therefore also was fitted with a sport switch in the center dashboard stack. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
