Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Help a craka out. I just bought a 987.2 Boxster S without factory owners manuals. On the headlight switch I understand the functions except what the pullout function is for. Looks like fog lights. The switch turns amber when I pull it out but no extra lights illuminate. What’s it doing? Sorry in advance from a noob. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 2Original post

Maybe Rear fog setting (only driver's side). Is the engine running? Here's a manual: 987.2 Boxster

POST 3Original post

Oh yeah. You’re the man. Thanks !!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 5Original post

is your car equipped with Xenon or Halogen lights? Those with Xenon don't have front fogs therefore only the rear illuminate.

POST 6Original post

Xenon. I’m so fresh on these I didnt know they have rear fogs. I’ve been researching for the purpose of buying but I’m just not familiar with all the details of ownership yet. Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 7Original post

It's just one - the brake light on the driver's side stays lit to increase visibility in foggy conditions. Probably best to use only in an emergency (fog/smoke) since it will confuse most US drivers (thinking you are riding the brakes and your right light is out).

POST 8Original post

Gotya. Thanks for the info guys. Especially the owners manual link. I’ve been scouring it so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
