Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just sharing - if I'm honest, not to the standard of Royal or LS, but for the price I paid, I'm really happy.
I need to reinstate the horse shoe trim around the gear shift gator base
Think this is working
I gave the upholsterer the leather trim off the hand brake and he made a new piece that I glued on. Took about and hour doing it section by section to get it to sit around the curves. The back piece of the handbrake is stuck with tech 7 so it isn't rigid and the handle and aluminium insert are held with locktite flexible glue.
I chose the orange stitching as someone else on here has it and I compliments the instrument lights perfectly. I found the interior was too black. This really lifts it.
The perforated leather on the gear shift is a much nicer feel. I didn't think I would notice and was mainly doing ot for the look.
Total cost was €280/£240
I also fitted my "Alex" SSK. Great bit of kit. Takes a bit of getting used to as the lever effect is reduced so more force is required, but I'll get used to it. I'm very happy with it.
I think altogether I've added at least 15bhp...
Sometimes it's the detail that counts - looks good :thumb:
If you don't already have side stripes, get some. They generate an extra 5bhp on their own
handbrake base retrim
I've been looking to do something like this as there are small cuts on the leather gaiter. Where did you get this done? Was it easy to pull out the original gaiter?
I got it done in Ireland by a Polish guy that ships them to his mother in Poland who is an upholsterer! Not at all convoluted! He generally lends a wheel so you can use the car while he has yours. Even removed and reinstalls them. As he only had the older 4 spoke Porsche wheel, I was airbag-less for 2 weeks, but I didn't use the car much so it was fine.

He had done my Discovery Series 2 steering wheel a few years ago, but getting the hand brake and gear shift know and gaiter done was breaking new territory.
The stitching join line on the upper steering wheel are meant to be horizontal... clearly, this didn't go according to plan, but overall I'm really happy. It really lifts the interior when you are in it and the feel on the steering wheel is much better.
The gear knob is done in perforated leather too.
