Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These were the fronts we stepped out to 19x10 and with 25mm spacers filled the front.

In this pic we had changed the wheel colour to gold and fitted 1 new rear tyre as the centres were in poor condition in the first week of ownership.

I then started to think about wheels and how we could fill these ridiculous
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

So last summer my misses sold her rare yellow rs4 cab after
Owning Audi's for years. We looked around as she fancied something
Totally different. We'd been to a few meets and seen a few 996's she liked.
So the hunt started and being totally honest we didn't really know much about them or specs etc. Anyway she knew she wanted one with the aero kit.
We found a yellow one she loved but the guy was asking strong money and wouldn't really budge on price and was asking 24k.
Then this popped up, seemed really good value and only 66k miles. We travelled to London and did the deal. She drove home a happy girl.
We then did some more research and realised what a great spec we'd found making it seem an even better deal.
She absolutely loved how it drove as she doesn't like cars to modern.

So the car is a Carrera 4 with lovely nephrite green interior and lots of carbon which works lovely against the black 8)
Next job my mate came over and we gave it a machine polish and I found some muffler deletes to add some noise.
Excuse the misses thinking she's a model
I'm sure I speak for everybody on here when I say that your missus will be most definitely be excused.
It took me a while to realise there was car in the picture too but as soon as I did I felt compelled to advise you that a Carrera 4 isn't a wide bodied 996 - sorry.

Yes it isn't in the pics Ive posted yet I'm going through my pics to post progress.
When i get to the now pics and the 13.5" rear wheels at et minus 70 you'll see how wide it really is
The purists will have to look away soon lol
The interior was in great shape but the leather key
Surround was all scratched so I got a mate to carbon
Skin a new one which really finished it off lovely
Right this is where things got a little serious and many will probably want to look away
Myself and the misses have a bit of a media following we've both modified cars for years.
An English guy Dom who now lives in Majorca contacted us. He'd spent years building a widebody 996 very much an RWB style.
He asked if we wanted to work with him. He'd built his car and after years had the moulds made to reproduce the kit.
They were being made in Nottingham, so he flew back to the uk so Michelle's car could be the first to try the kit.
This wasn't an easy decision it's always hard to cut up a perfectly good car. A lot of the purists gave us crap saying why do it to such a nice car. Our thoughts we paid a good price for it, it's was a great spec and I knew I'd get a few grand for the aero parts so we went for it.
Cut open the arches and welded them back up.
The kit was so wide we even had to turn some wheels inside out so the barrel was out side and the dish inside to try and see how it would all work.
Doms car was a c2 so had no issue with rolling radius. I always knew this would cause issues at some point :nooo:
I sold the rear spoiler but did quite like the look.
And now looking back at these pics I wish I'd kept
The 911 badge as feel it needs something now we are further down the line
Here you can really see it starting to take shape.
I think Dom has done a great job of the kit but there's a few
Bits I feel needed breaking up a little.
Dom had a Centre exhaust exit but I think the rear bumper is so big that going back to side exit ones like oem was a better idea.
He was fine for me to tweak what I preferred
Dom then had to go back home so I had to collect it.
My painters couldn't fit me in for a while so we just rattle canned the arches
So it didn't look quite as bad lol
Does anyone remember the film condor man ?
So at this point it was a bit of a waiting game.
I then started to think about wheels and how we could fill these ridiculous
Arches. I bought some 3 piece cargraphics and then some wider lips.
These were the fronts we stepped out to 19x10 and with 25mm spacers filled the front. The rears without going absolutely stupid on the rear dish I just could not get them to work. So back to square one
Finally the painters could take the car in, I like to get my hands dirty so I went and helped strip is all back ready for the black primer. That always helps with stone chips on dark cars.
You can see the width here with the 18x10 rear with a 25mm spacer fitted.
