Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

I've got some, slight change in sound but you'd be hard pressed to sense any performance change IMO.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Evening all Currently have a 98 996 tip 3.4 with 100K and I'm thinking of a couple of upgrades....new manifolds are on the list, I'm told top gear are the best, uk made and a quality product. What I find sketchy are the performance benefits. Some say there is a real noticeable difference, some say it's just a audio benefit....question is, which one is it, or both!? Cheers

POST 3Original post

Following, and not necessarily related to Top Gear parts, but in general the dyno results from 996s I have seen have shown marginal gains at best with aftermarket manifolds.

POST 4Original post

I will eat my hat if they are UK made. They look exactly the same as any other Ebay header. I've got some, slight change in sound but you'd be hard pressed to sense any performance change IMO.

POST 5Original post

Topgear manufacture their own stuff in the UK.

POST 6Original post

Alex, can you PM with the details of what you think about these please? Was thinking to lose the pea shooter mani on my 986 next year.
