Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Thanks everybody - just closing this off - I was trying to use one of these NOCO powerpacks but i guess it didnt energise or something - took the battery out of a motor bike and it worked straight away - Now to put everything back together again !

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Doing a couple of small jobs to the car - wet door carpet etc. And well one thing led to another and I decided to disconnect the battery to avoid the airbag going off. You know that feeling when having disconnected the battery you give the bonnet that last little click into place and then realise .......... So , I can't use the fuse box method , and I know on my car the cable is near the tray for the os headlamp but can I get to it ? Any whizzy ideas before I - well I don't know what I'll do ... Thanks

POST 2Original post

To clarify - You've closed the frunk with the battery disconnected? Do you have access to the rest of the car? Why can't you use the fuse box method? Do you have access to the engine bay? If you can get in there then you can connect power to the +ve terminal I think....

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes. I've access to the cabin , my understanding is that if you don't have the battery connected then the fuse box method won't work . I'll try again but nothing seemed to energise when I connected previously

POST 4Original post

The power source that you use to energise the red fuse provides the power. The reason for the thing being there is in case your battery is flat. Link -> http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=56267&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
