Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I'm looking for my 1st 911. I'm after a 1999-2001 ish 996 C2 Tip. Preferably a dark colour with a dark interior. I'm looking on Pistonheads/911uk/Autotrader/911virgins and some of the dealers. Am I missing any other good sources? Thanks RichardC

Be patient. It took me nearly 18 months to find mine !

POST 6Original post

Keep an eye out at www.Hartech.org or give Grant or Baz a ring there. When mine was in a week or so ago Baz was saying that they were planning on stocking some more cars again, you couldn't go wrong with a 996 from them on their lifetime maintenance plan!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks folks. The search is almost over. I've agreed to buy one from a member that was on Autotrader. Had it inspected and it got a great report. It's in cracking condition, car and seller seem very genuine and it's just the spec & colour I wanted Black with full Black ruffled leather, tiptronic, spilt rims, etc etc. Once the cherished plate is off the V5 I'll be parting with my hard earned and collecting it. Only 49 odd years of waiting for this moment so a few more days won't hurt! I'll let post a photo when it's on the driveway!

Good luck, enjoy the car and many, many happy and safe miles and many smiles [ ][ ][ ].
