Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Guys! Just curious, I know the leather is Savannah. Kind Regards Edward

POST 4Original post

If that's Lapis Blue, then the colour code is 3A8 Are you sure that's Lapis? Seems a bit too dark to me. Cheers.

POST 6Original post

Actually, I think it's Lapis as well now I've seen the 2nd picture.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Daniel and GD, most Kind Edward

POST 9Original post

Are you sure it isn't Ocean? Get the paint code from the sticker under the luggage compartment, or in the maintenance booklet: Ocean Blue Metallic – 3AZ or 3AY Zenith Blue Metallic – 3AX or 3AW Lapis Blue Metallic – 3A8, 3A9, or M5W Midnight Blue Metallic – 39C or 37W Dark Blue – 37C or 34C Iris Blue Metallic – 39V or 39N Cobalt Blue Metallic – 3C8 or 37U

POST 10Original post

It's not Lapis, not even close! It's closer to Ocean or Midnight, personally I'd say Ocean though.

POST 11Original post

Was midnight blue available on the 98 model? I was in two minds about Lapis. It's difficult to tell with my LCD, but I held up the Lapis colour chart and it looked similar. I did have a suspicion it was too dark (Lapis is quite similar to Zenith), so I've changed my mind and I believe it's Ocean now as well...sorry for the confusion!!

POST 12Original post

I thought it was Lapis as well, pretty sure it is. It's defo not Midnite as it's the darkest blue colour you can get (I have the Midnite option). ~ Maxie

POST 14Original post

I'd have guessed Lapis as it was a popular choice with savanah interior. There also seems to be far more of the ealry 996's around in that colour. But as I'm colour blind and the resolution is so low, check the paint code seems the right advice .... then put an end to the debate :?:

POST 15Original post

looks like my lapis to me - lovely colour when clean!
