Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Having problems with my drivers door - I lift the handle half way and the window drops as normal, but the handle then won't lift any further to open the door., it seems to stick half way and the lock does not release... I can eventually get it open by releasing and trying again a couple of times over. The door opens from inside without issue as does the central locking. Not sure what part is at fault - I understand there are a few micro-sensors in the door but it feels like a mechanical problem to me. Has anyone experienced such issues before and does anyone know if door locking cables/mechanisms are covered by the 'old' approved used wtee ? Thx

POST 2Original post

I had a faulty door lock, albeit not the same symptoms as you. Mine was clicking loads when I unlocked or locked. I think it was locking then unlocking repetitively. After 5/6 clicks it would stop. I had the 'old' warranty at the time and was told unequivocally that this was not a warranty item, as it was "classed as a wear and tear item". I ranted and ranted and eventually Porsche GB caved in and repaired it as a goodwill item. I had to fight for it, very hard. There is a thread on here describing my ranting and who I had to write to. Not sure if the new warranty covers it - I would hope so.
