Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the title says. I have been supplied with one of these lovely items by BMC (they had stopped making it because they never had the fitting kit). What I need to find out is how to attach the end of the intake pipe to beneath the hole in the boot lid. It is currently a rectangular plastic pipe (I am sure you know what it looks like). BMC believe there is a VW part that will fit, if so does anyone have any ideas?

POST 5Original post

Hmm, interesting... The downflow adaptor looks to be attached to the body work on the left by a Meccano set :?: Also, where does the MAF go?, can't see any obvious position from the picture... What made you choose this over the EVOMS or K&N? I know BMC have a decent reputation but lack of users makes me cautious...

POST 6Original post

No experience of a BMC on a Porsche, but have on my previous Corrado VR6 - by far the best air filter kit you can buy. Blows away the likes of K&N...
