Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I've swopped out my Griffin iTrip for a Kensington RDS FM Transmitter for my iPod in the car. This kit has good good reviews. RDS FM Transmitter/Car Charger for iPod® I've just connected it and the first track on the iPod played came up on the PCM display fine. Unfortunately, when playing other tracks, no other track description comes up except this one, and even switching on and off still leaves the original track description on the display. It plays just fine but does not update the track description. I'm now left in the embarrassing situation of having "Play on Me" by Aha on the screen of the PCM (it was on Shuffle and had picked on on my old school disco album I foolishly copied) I put it in my wifes Lexus RX and it all works fine, so it is safe to assume that the FM transmitter is working OK. Changing FM frequencies didn't make it go away. A factory reset didn't make it go away. Anyone know how to get the RDS signal reset?

POST 2Original post

Fixed it! Removed the PCM fuse in Row D, position 9 (10A) from the fuse box in the drivers footwell, waited 1 min, put fuse back in. All ok now! PCM now receiving and updating the RDS signals with the tracks and artist from the iPod FM/RDS transmitter. I've no idea why it got its knickers in a twist, but all sorted now.
