Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry this is a really dumb question, but how do I know if my headlights are Litronic? Does the Porsche litronics beam follow the corners in the same way of those on a Lexus? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Don't follow corners to my knowledge. They are brighter blue-ish like Xenons

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the quick reply. do they look any differnet?

POST 5Original post

Hi pj-91, xenon lights have the washers as standard too. These appear as smooth silver circular bumps in the headlight unit measuring about 3cm in diameter. Also if you look closely at the headlight unit, you should see at the top of dome unit of the main beam a fat lense measuring maybe about 8cm in diameter - this is a give-away that your car has Xenons. 996 Non-xenon fitted cars have ordinary bulbs inside the dome unit which you may be able to see. ~ Maxie

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car is a 2004 C4S were they standard on this?

POST 7Original post

Not standard on this model but many customers added it as an option, so yours may well have it. ~ Maxie

POST 8Original post

Easy way to tell: Park facing a wall at night, switch on headlights... The pattern should visibly swivel upwards (take about 1-2 seconds to settle) and be a clear white light. Then you have litronics (i.e. xenons) If the light just appears statically, you have halogen bulbs. AFS (lights turning corners) was only introduced with 997 generation 2 this year, so no.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great thanks, I will give that go.
