Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Struggling to get clarity on compatibility of R springs with PASM shocks / dampers. I've seen some reference to issues with the rear springs under full droop, essentially, the springs become loose with the suspension unloaded / they're too short for the fully extended shock. So, has anyone fitted R springs to standard PASM shocks and can confirm / deny or generally comment? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I'm assuming you want to fit stiffer springs? Generally on a decent set up, the dampers are matched to the spring rate. If you were to fit stiffer springs you will upset the relationship inbetween damper and spring. Saying that, if the springs were slightly stiffer, you probably wouldn't notice the downside of the mismatch. I have used my 987.1 with PASM on track this year twice and to be honest, the suspension set-up felt great as standard, (and I have driven heavily modded cars with stiff suspension). Might be best to leave well alone with PASM .

POST 3Original post

I don't have PASM , but I sure do read about folks loving the aftermarket DSC controller for Porsche pasm .

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
