With the lid off, replacing the cowl is much easier. Remove the 3 dark Torx bolts at the bottom of the panel. There are two nuts holding the cowl in and must be accessed from inside the car. First, remove the vertical carpeted panel just below the window. There are clips at the top holding it in. Pull this panel straight out, preferably with plastic trim removal tools in order to avoid scratching the glass or tint film. Insert a tool, or two along the top edge and pull straight out, it should unsnap with some effort. 11
